Product Questions
- Will my flowers come in a vase?Yes, our flower arrangements are usually photographed with a vase and will most likely come arranged as shown.
- Why are roses so expensive for Valentines Day?If you think about the fact that roses that are delivered for one day out of the year takes an incredible feat to accomplish. From the planning that it takes from the farms, to the massive harvest that takes place just before the week of Valentines day, to the logistics involved regarding shipping long stem roses around the world days before, to finally arriving in every florist store front. That's when the real magic begins.
- How can I maximize the life of my flower arrangement?Keeping plenty of clean water in the vase is the most important part. To do this you will need to add clean water everyday. This keeps the bacteria levels in check by diluting the water. After 3-4 days the water should be flushed out of the vase by placing the arrangement in your sink and overfilling the vase. Once this has been completed you can then add your flower food packet that came with your order.
- Do you offer special orders or hard to find flowers? We do work flower vendors up at the Los Angeles flower market in downtown LA on Wednesday mornings. If you give us a call no later then Tuesday, we can arrange to pick up those hard to find flowers for your orders starting on Wednesday. For special order flowers, we recommend contacting us at least one week before.
- How do I care for my flowers? The first step in keeping your flowers fresh is caring for the water. The water inside the vase should always be clean. To maintain this, add fresh water to the vase every day. Doing so helps dilute bacteria that naturally builds up, especially in warmer conditions.
After about three days, the water may start to look cloudy - this is a sign that it's time to replace it. We recommend placing the arrangement in the sink and running clean water directly into the vase, allowing it to overflow. This flushes out bacteria while keeping the stems submerged.
Finally, add the flower food packet provided with your order once the water has been refreshed. This simple step will help your flowers stay vibrant and beautiful for as long as possible.
