Third party marketplaces provide convenience and exposure, but that service comes at a cost. Companies such as DoorDash and Uber may collect commissions or other fees from participating businesses. Similar marketplace models have existed in the floral industry for decades through national flower-ordering companies and networks such as 1-800-Flowers, FTD and Teleflora.
