Best ways to take care of gerbera daises include taking extra care of the water source by maintaining a ample supply of water in the vase adding fresh water everyday. On the 3rd or 4th day the water should be changed by either flushing out the old water with clean water or quickly removing the old water and re-fill the vase immediately. Our rule of thumb is do not leave the stems exposed to the air for more then 30 seconds otherwise you will need to recut every stem to insure the water travels up the stem keeping the flower hydrated. Adding the enclosed flower food will also help extend the life of your flowers with the change of water.
